Clay Regazzoni was the outstanding driver at Long Beach on the occasion of the United States Grand Prix West; achieving fastest time in practice and leading the race from start to finish. The scene shows Regazzoni in the Ferrari 312T during the early laps of the race, leading Depaillers Tyrrell and Ferrari team mate Niki Lauda who was eventually to finish in second place.
